I see
the faces of the people
and taste
bitterness in their mouth
and feel
sorrow for the city
and hear
hurt in their voice
and want it
to be over
This is from when we had the major floods in Iowa a couple years back and see how hurt all the people were.
I thought this poem really went well with the poem on page 5 of Blood Dazzler. It comes from a different point of view and gives good insight of how the people feel. The floods were a horrible occurance in Iowa. I think with your experiences it helped you write more from the heart since you were there.
